New Wall Quilt - FINISHED!!

Well I finally finished my wall quilt.  I'm so happy with the way it turned out.  My label I made for the back isn't fancy, so I didn't include a picture of it.  But I do plan on putting on more free quilt labels as time goes on.  I'm finishing up my softie and it looks really cute.  Just need to do a bit of finishing touches on it.  I am working on 2 more wall quilts for gifts for family.  They are both the same thing, and I need to get them done by April.  I'll give picutures as I go along, but I'll have to put them up after I give them away...just in case the family members are surfing the web...if ya know what I mean!

Stuffed Magazine

I just wanted to share this magazine with you.  Stuffed - The Crafting of Softies.  I LOVE this magazine and it has inspired me to create some softies of my own.  (my own pics later!)  You need to check this out...all of these artists are so inspirational and creatively motivating.

I wanted to share some quilt labels with you.  Hope you like them and you share them with your quilting buddies.  I'll make some more to share soon.  Click on the label to show its' full size then right click to save to your computer.

New Wall Quilt...Continuted!

Well, here is the top of my new wall quilt.  I've put on the boarder now (not shown in these pictures).  More pictures to follow.  I am currently sewing through all 3 layers and it's looking
good.
I'm going to make my own label to go on the back and I'll share that with you as well to use for your own quilting projects. :o)

Desktop Graphics - mini Wallpaper

Before I go to bed, I wanted to share some mini desktop graphics/wallpaper that I've made.  I thought you'd like them too.  You can take them if you wish for your own wallpaper or share them with your friends.  Click on the picture to see the enlarged graphic, then save it to your computer.
Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!

My New Wall Quilt

I wanted to share with you my new wall quilt.  It's full of color and words that inspire and delight.
The wall quilt is 5 squares by 5 squares with each block being 7 1/2 " square.  Each of the half round dishes are all colorful and no repeats.  This is part of the 1st row.
I sewed a stitch on the edge of each 1/2 circle.
I then typed out certain words on the computer using a different font for each word.  Something small enough that I could write in the middle of each square.
Since I don't have one of those niffty embroidery sewing machines, I use fabric permanent pens to trace and fill in the words.  I place it under the block, center it with my eye, and trace.  I prefer doing it this way, I love it that it has that hands on look instead of a machine.
It's a work in progress and I'll post pics as I go along.  I'm sewing 1" strips between each block to split up the color and black 1" squares will be between each block in every corner.  Should look really nice when done.  I'm making it as a wall quilt when I get a house later this year...hopefully!
