OK...it's been a few weeks since I've scribbled, but as promised from my last entry...I was sewing my tote bag to put my church stuff in. The first one I didn't realize how HUGE it was until I finished it, and therefore is way to big for my stuff. I feel like I made a duffle bag, but that's okay, 'cause I'll use it for my school art supplies to carry around when I go back to school this fall. The picture of the boy and the children playing are pockets. I got the images off the internet and then printed them on cotton fabric, which has paper on the back so it will go through your printer. I used a few of my daughter's old jeans that didn't fit her anymore. I love Value Village!! You can find so many kids clothes to use for so many projects and things. The bear is just so you can see I've made a pocket out of the picture. I made it with many pockets and I love it!!
Now for my second tote bag. Since the first one didn't give me the results I wanted, because I originally wanted a tote bag with lots of pockets to put my Sunday things in, hymn book, lesson manual, RS manual, kleenex, etc. I sized it down and made something similar. I love how it turned out...and with lots and lots of pockets to put my stuff, inside and outside! I did the same thing with the woman pocket on the front...I printed it from the internet. I love the internet!! What did we ever do without it. Hope you enjoy!
My next project is my daughter's twin quilt for her bed. As I mentioned before, I bought a quilt frame to sew my son's twin quilt. But I wanted to wait until I finished my daughter's quilt as well so that I can do one right after the other. I'll post pictures of both of them when I'm finished with them. I'll try to post other things too, to keep you interested. Have a good one!
