My dreams for my blog is to be full of creative ideas, projects, and wonderful things to share. Below are some tote bags I made for my daughter and my mother. My daughter asked for a tote bag to take to church with her to carry all her "stuff". So I looked through some magazines that I bought to get the kind of pattern that tickled my fancy, then I made a pattern, chose some very bright and cute fabric (this is what takes the most time...has to be perfect) and wella!
Then when my mother saw this wonderful handy bag, she wanted one for herself as well. Well okay...if I have to...such a burden! boo hoo :o)
They were both tickled pink and so was I. I thought they'd turned out rather well, and I was amazed at how easy they were to put together.
I know that Christmas 2009 has come and gone, but I wanted to show you my "stocking" I made. I didn't want to get just anything from the store. I wanted to be different. So I decided to make a cone stocking and it worked out beautifully. The small metal stars I found at Michael's on sale and the lace around the top was given to me by a woman years ago that knitted her own lace. Beautiful!! This was so fun to make and anything that gets rid of my fabric bits and pieces is alright with me. Check it out and let me know what you think!
I plan to have many more projects to show you. Can't wait to bring them to light...too many projects...not enough time!
