My New Wall Quilt

I wanted to share with you my new wall quilt.  It's full of color and words that inspire and delight.
The wall quilt is 5 squares by 5 squares with each block being 7 1/2 " square.  Each of the half round dishes are all colorful and no repeats.  This is part of the 1st row.
I sewed a stitch on the edge of each 1/2 circle.
I then typed out certain words on the computer using a different font for each word.  Something small enough that I could write in the middle of each square.
Since I don't have one of those niffty embroidery sewing machines, I use fabric permanent pens to trace and fill in the words.  I place it under the block, center it with my eye, and trace.  I prefer doing it this way, I love it that it has that hands on look instead of a machine.
It's a work in progress and I'll post pics as I go along.  I'm sewing 1" strips between each block to split up the color and black 1" squares will be between each block in every corner.  Should look really nice when done.  I'm making it as a wall quilt when I get a house later this year...hopefully!
